Your online community for workplace solutions
Do you despise the very thought of going to work in the morning? Dread facing your nit-picking boss, or your back-stabbing co-workers? Are you so buried in resentment over the unjust, demoralizing practices of your organization that it interferes with your peace of mind and ability to do your job? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you can likely count yourself amongst the thousands of people who endure the daily misery of the toxic workplace.
Over and over, people say the same thing – they like their job, they hate their boss. They work hard and turn in excellent results, only to receive little to no recognition for their efforts. And they wallow around in a near constant state of frustration, dreaming of the day the office bully/gossip/control freak will just go away so they can do their job in peace.
Rest assured that you are not alone. There is so much turmoil, political maneuvering, and conflict in today’s work environment that people cannot help but be negatively affected. Tie that in with an uncertain economic climate, and we inhabit a near constant state of insecurity and stress, placing us at risk for a wide variety of significant health problems. It is for these reasons that this website was created – to shed some light on these important challenges and to give people a space to voice their concerns about a system that often doesn’t hear, support, or acknowledge them at all.
Here you can join a growing community of opposition against the toxic workplace. Each month, I’ll be posting articles about common toxic workplace issues and providing you with an opportunity to submit your input. Whether you agree, disagree, or have something to add – know that your contribution matters. Check out the user forum section of this website where you are invited to give your opinion, ask questions, obtain support for your workplace issues, or perhaps even give advice to others who share in your workplace woes.
While progress may seem slow, it is important to remember that change is constant. Believe it or not, you are not powerless. Even in the most hostile, dysfunctional workplace ever, you have the ability to create positive change.

“Hello world!”
I don’t have a comment as much as I need advice. This is for my wife who is being bullied at work by her boss and 4 co workers. First it was just the 2 co workers when she talked to her boss about it she tried to do something about it. but in the last 2 months her boss has started with the bulling . We think the others bully the boss and the boss does not know how to handle it .In turn she has turned on my wife I can use any advice you could give me I am at a lost as what to do for my wife or what to tell her. – Jim
Hi Jim; The fact that your wife comes home at night to someone who believes her and cares about her is huge. This is a good time to do your research on bullying. I’m a big believer in “left brain” strategies: reading, writing, planning because they help you move forward and soothe the hurt in the right brain. Just bear in mind that bullying over time can lead to psychological injury and your wife does not deserve that. Good luck;
Richard
